I aspired to be a doctor from a very young age primarily due to the encouragement from my paternal
uncle who was a physician and by taking care of my father who suffered from chronic back pain. I was fortunate to get admission in one of the best Medical College in my state and graduated from Mysore Medical College.
I came to USA after getting married. I pursued my MD degree in United states and subsequently completed fellowship in Rheumatology from UCSD. I served at the Naval Medical center
for 3 years in San Diego as a Rheumatologist and then moved to Fremont to start my own clinical
practice in Rheumatology. I also volunteer at the Arthritis Foundation and I am a member of their Medical and Scientific Committee of the Northern California region.
I am blessed to be able to serve my family and patients in the TriCity area who suffer from arthritis.
I have been married for 30 years and have a loving and caring husband and blessed with 3 sons. My oldest son will be completing his Masters in Computer Science at Stanford this year, my second son is in 2nd year medical school at UCLA and my youngest is a rising senior at Mission
San Jose high school.
I enjoy family time and we love to go on hikes and walks together.
At this time in my life as the kids have grown up I would like to devote some time to help people in need and providing medical care to the underserved and uninsured people in the community. I feel I can do
this being a part of the Fremont Bridge Rotary Club.
