International Projects

The Girls Hygiene Project, conducted in Laskar, a village in India, is a Global Grant initiative led by the Rotary Club of Fremont Bridge (California, USA) in partnership with the Rotary Club of Roorkee Midtown (India).

Through this project, local women are provided with hands-on training to sew reusable sanitary pads—an initiative that not only addresses menstrual hygiene challenges but also empowers women with a valuable skill.

✨ Each participant receives a sewing machine, giving them the opportunity to start their own micro-business, generate income, and sustain their families with dignity.

🎥 In the training videos, women can be seen confidently sharing (in Hindi) what they have learned, proudly demonstrating their new skills and knowledge.

This project goes beyond hygiene—it fosters health, empowerment, and economic independence for women in rural communities.
